Contraindications

Cosmetic Ink isn't right for everyone.

It is not safe to do permanent makeup on people who suffer from certain conditions:

• Diabetes (unless cleared by a Doctor)
  
• Cancer or people going through chemotherapy (unless in remission for 6 months and cleared by a Doctor)
  
• Epilepsy or autoimmune disorders
  
• Bleeding disorders
  
• People on blood-thinning medications
  
• People with viral infections or diseases
  
• People with skin irritations or Psoriasis near the treated area
  
• Women who are pregnant or nursing
  
• People with oily skin (if you have oily skin, microblading is NOT ideal as the oil produced can cause your hair strokes to heal lighter and softer than an ideal defined hair stroke. Combo Brows or Powder Brows is recommended for better pigment retention.)
  

COVID-19

Can I have a permanent cosmetic procedure after my Covid-19 vaccine?

Based on the available information regarding COVID-19 vaccinations, permanent cosmetic procedures must be avoided 14 days prior and 14 days after a COVID-19 vaccination due to possible delayed reactions to vaccines.

PRECARE

How to prepare before your appointment?

The following treatments should be avoided within 4 weeks of the procedure:

• Botox injections or fillers
  
• Chemical Peels
  
• Laser Treatment
  

7 days before the procedure:

• Avoid heavy sunlight and especially sunburn. Your skin should not be in the process of healing before the procedure.
• Brow service - Avoid plucking, waxing, threading or any hair removal service. This can also trigger the skin healing process.
• Do NOT use Retino/Retin-A, Accutane, or other anti-aging/acne creams.
• Do NOT apply serum-containing acid.

48 hours prior to your appointment:

• Do NOT take Aspiring, Niacin, Vitamin E and/or Ibuprofen, Omega-3, unless medically necessary. (Tylenol or Acetaminophen is okay!)
  
• Do NOT use Nicotine or Cannabis.
  

24 hours prior to your appointment

• Do NOT drink alcohol 24 hours before the procedure.
  
• Do NOT drink coffee or anything with caffeine before the procedure.
  
• Do NOT take pre-workout drinks.
  

AFTERCARE

How should I take care of my cosmetic tattoo after my appointment?

Aftercare is crucial to ensure the best results. Keep in mind that every person’s skin responds differently to a cosmetic tattoo and each artist has their own recommended aftercare method.

Post Appointment (1st hour):

• After the procedure, gently blot the tattooed area with a clean tissue to absorb excess lymph fluid.
  
• Do this every 5 minutes until the oozing has stopped.
  

Removing this fluid prevents the hardening of the lymphatic fluids.

Post Appointment (7-10 days):

• Gently wash the tattooed area daily - morning and night - to remove bacteria, build-up of product and oils, and dead skin.
  

(Don't worry, THIS DOES NOT REMOVE THE PIGMENT!)

• Use a gentle soap or an unscented cleanser like Dial Soap, Cetaphil, or baby shampoo. With a very light touch, use your fingertips to gently cleanse the area.
  
• Rinse the area gently ensuring all the soap is rinsed away.
  
• With a clean tissue, gently pat the area. DO NOT use any cleansing products containing acids (glycolic, lactic, or AHA), or exfoliants.
  
• Apply a tiny, rice grain amount of ointment provided by your Artist 2-3 times a day with a cotton swab and spread it across the treated area.
  
• Do not over-apply, as this will suffocate your skin and delay healing. The product should be barely noticeable on the skin. Your skin needs to breathe.
  

Things to avoid:

• Use a fresh pillowcase while you sleep.
  
• Let any scabbing or dry skin naturally exfoliate away. Picking can cause scarring or loss of color.
  
• No facials, botox, chemical treatments, or microdermabrasion for 4 weeks.
  
• Avoid hot, sweaty exercise for one week.
  
• Avoid direct sun exposure or tanning for 4 weeks after the procedure. Wear a hat when outdoors.
  
• Avoid long, hot showers for the first 10 days.
  
• Avoid sleeping on your face for the first 10 days.
  
• Avoid face-down swimming, lakes, and hot tubs for the first 10 days,
  
• Avoid topical makeup and sunscreen on the area.
  
• DO NOT rub, pick, or scratch the treated area.
  

When showering:

• Limit your showers to 5 minutes so that you do not create too much steam. Keep your face/procedure area out of the water while you wash your body, then, at the end of your shower, wash your hair.
  
• Your face should only be getting wet only at the end of the shower.
  
• Avoid excessive rinsing and hot water on the treated area.

This technique is done in 2.5 hours where we will first discuss your your bone structure, skin type, desired brow shape and map out the best brows for your face shape.

Next, we will blend and create the perfect color for your brows and numb your skin so that you

feel no pain. The goal is for you to be as comfortable as possible during your service.

Then, we start the magic of creating tiny strokes to give you the best brows.

I will go over aftercare instructions as well as provide you with an after kit which contains all you need to take care of your brows during the healing process.

Once your brows are healed and for best results, you can come back for a follow up within 4-12 weeks from the initial procedure to touch up any areas needed.

You can come back for a brow refresher in 1-2 years from your initial service.

POWDER OMBRÉ BROWS

Gorgeous Makeup Look

Wake up makeup ready with Powder Ombré Brows.

This technique is done with a machine and adds shading from light to dark starting at the head of your eyebrow throughout the arch to the tail of the brow giving you a nice gradient looking brow.

This technique is done in 2.5 to 3 hours. We will go over your bone structure, skin type and desired brow shape and style. I will map out the the best brows for your face shape.

Next, we will blend and create the perfect color for your brows and numb your skin so that you feel no pain. The goal is for you to be as comfortable as possible during your service. Then, we start the magic of creating tiny strokes to give you the best brows.

This technique is done with a combination of microblading and shading using a microblade tool and machine and can be done from light- natural looking to more bold- make up look.

Have you had previous work done and unhappy with it?

Saline Tattoo Removal is a no laser process of lightening and removing old unwanted tattoo.

This technique is done in 2-3hrs depending on the area that needs to treated. This service may require more than 2 follow-up treatments depending on the darkness and saturation of the area that needs to be lightened.

We will numb the area that you want to lighten so that you feel no pain. The goal is for you to be as comfortable as possible during your service.

I will go over aftercare instructions as well as provide you with an after kit which contains all you need to take care of the area treated.

Once the area that was treated is healed, you can come back for a follow up (as needed) within 4-12 weeks from the initial procedure.
